The Wild Islands are an archipelago of islands with varying sizes spreading south from the Deep Cold into the Sunken Ocean all the way to the tropics. The Islands are ruled by a long-lived Elven monarchy, advised by a parliament of Druids. Every four years the council of Druids select the candidates to replace half their number. These are elected by a secret ballot of the people. In any given century the parliament is overseen by one of the druid gods. The people here all have a strong bond with the elements and the sea, as all children must embark upon a voyage around the islands, experiencing the vast array of environments the islands have. While the Wild Islanders are gifted and wise, their ability to trade is limited. They are wary and uncomfortable in large crowds and prefer to settle disputes with direct confrontation and feats of physical power than deal in lies and money. When threatened, Wild Islanders almost always respond with deadly force instead of diplomacy. This has led them to be isolationist in nature, using their combined understanding of natural mysticism and sciences to control their seas. They tend to view most outsiders, particularly their technology, as being backwards and ungraceful. Natural magic is imbued into almost everything Wild Islanders make, very rarely resulting in harm to the earth. Most outsiders have only truly seen this in their Navy, which operate as both trading vessels and warships.
